STORYTELLING NEAR + FAR
my passion is in the story.
I am a photographer who goes; I will go to the mountains, I will go to the sea, or I will go next door. As much as I love adventure, I love capturing the story of a couple much more. I will go wherever your story is told.

Philosophy
My purpose is to take the best photographs of you, your loved ones, and everything that matters to you. I want you to feel the same way I did when my family and I went through wedding photos of our own loved ones. Some of the best photos we have of my father were from my sister’s wedding. When I realized that my very job is to take pictures of other’s loved ones, it shook my soul and gave me purpose. I want to provide you with photos of memories that will last longer than a lifetime. A legacy through generations.
Heading into my 13th year as a wedding photographer, I like to add a little of my lifestyle and commercial moodiness into my wedding work at times. I feel that it keeps it fresh and can draw you into an image on an emotional level. Some stoic, some fun, some exciting, some nostalgic, and lots of joy on the wedding day. That extra something about the photo is what you feel. That exact feeling you have from an image is the goal for my work, and I hope it shines through.
Day Of
When it comes to photographing your wedding, I am calm, relaxed, and in it with your friends and family. I like to tell couples, I am a team player. I want to make it feel like you are celebrating with all your friends and family, having the time of your life, and it's all being photographed. I don't want the day to feel like a giant photoshoot. I like to direct my couples into awesome, jaw-dropping light, impelling composures all the while cultivating romance, fun, and joy through my shooting style. You could describe my style as whimsy and adventurous with a touch of romance.
I am a go-with-the-flow, but direct when needed kind of person. I aim for your wedding day to be just that—yours. Not anyone else's, not mine either. I will capture you with all your loved ones at every moment and become a natural part of your day. I watch and wait for the perfect moments you will never want to forget.
The Heeters
Outside of photography, I spend lots of time with my wife Kelsey, my 2 year old son Louie and our Golden Lago. You can find us traveling, skiing, hiking, biking, playing golf, traveling or tennis while always seeking out the next opportunity to buy a bag of skittles—specifically the purple bag.
When I was young and 19 I had a lofty goal to ski off every cliff we could find out west. It was short lived by some rough falls. After gaining some wisdom I would much rather take photos on cliffs instead, way more fun… and safer too.
My wife, Kelsey, moved on from being a 4th-grade teacher for a handful of years and also a photographer. She specializes in families, newborns and maternity sessions. She is the cutest human you will find on earth! She is obsessed with dogs and sloths and always falls in love with every animal when we watch Planet Earth. Our first date was five and half hours long and I called my mom right after to tell her that I had just gone on my last first date. Now, we have a son Louie, named after my Grandma Lou. He is 2 and loves life and is as goofy as can be. Already swinging the clubs and kicking soccer balls around the house so he keeps us busy!
Let's Go.
Adventurous couples have a special place in my heart. Love is all about people but I am also a big believer that a location can mean everything to a couple. Whether is the mountains, the desert, the ocean or the jungle, Kelsey and I have always had the penchant for travel. We always have and always will. We both know some of our special locations center us, inspire us, and remind us just how special travel is. If you are a goer and a getter, let's go and get some incredible images in the very locations that tell your story!
